Senegalia burkei, formerly known as Acacia burkei, is a graceful African thorn tree native to southern regions of the continent. It is admired for its airy canopy, finely divided foliage, and classic savanna silhouette. In habitat it can grow into an impressive shade tree, producing creamy white puffball flowers that attract pollinators.

Its textured bark and elegant branching make it especially appealing for bonsai enthusiasts and collectors of unusual trees. When grown in containers, it develops character quickly and brings a touch of the African landscape to patios and bright indoor spaces.

Light ☀️
Requires full sun for best growth. Provide the brightest location possible indoors or grow outdoors in direct sun.

Watering 💧
Allow soil to dry slightly between waterings. Water deeply, then let excess drain. It tolerates short dry periods once established.

Soil 🌱
Use well draining soil. A sandy or gritty mix works well, especially for container growing.

Super excited about my senegalia burkei and Adenia glauca. Both were delivered alive and well. The adenia lost its leaves en route due to weather conditions but they will most certainly grow back as it is normal for this plant to drop leaves and/or go dormant. The seller reassured all of my concerns and answered my questions promptly. I would 100% buy from this seller again.

Tree looks great, had healthy roots and was packed very nice and sturdy. Had no visible damage.
