Pot Size

Scindapsus treubii ‘Moonlight’ is a slow growing tropical vine admired for its thick glossy leaves covered in a luminous silvery green sheen. Although frequently called Moonlight Pothos, it belongs to the Scindapsus genus and is not a true pothos. The species is native to the tropical rainforests of Peninsular Malaysia, northwestern Borneo, and Java. In its natural habitat, it climbs tree trunks using aerial roots and may grow with its leaves pressed closely against the bark in a growth pattern known as shingling. Providing climbing support indoors can encourage larger leaves and more vigorous growth.

Light 🌞

Provide bright indirect light or filtered sunlight. Avoid intense direct sun, which may scorch the foliage.

Watering 💧

Water when approximately half of the potting mix has dried. Allow excess water to drain completely and avoid keeping the soil constantly wet.

Soil 🕳️

Use a loose, well draining aroid mix containing potting soil, orchid bark, perlite, and coco coir.

Humidity 💨

Moderate to high humidity encourages healthy foliage and stronger growth. Provide good airflow around the plant.

Fertilizing 🧪

Feed monthly during spring and summer with a balanced fertilizer diluted according to the label.

Repotting 🪴

Repot every one to two years or when the plant becomes rootbound. Provide a moss pole, wooden plank, or trellis to support its natural climbing habit.
