Epiphyllum oxypetalum, famously known as Queen of the Night, is one of the most magical flowering cacti in the plant world. Native to tropical regions of Central and South America, it produces large, intensely fragrant white blooms that open only at night and fade by morning. This rare and fleeting display has made it legendary among collectors. Its flat, arching stems create a lush, cascading form that looks beautiful year round, even when not in bloom.
Light 🌞
Prefers bright indirect light. Avoid harsh direct sun, which can burn the flat stems.
Watering 💧
Water when the top portion of the soil dries out. Keep the soil lightly moist during active growth, but never soggy.
Soil 🌱
Use a well draining mix suited for epiphytic plants. A blend of potting soil, orchid bark, and perlite works well.
Fertilizing 🌿
Feed during the growing season once a month with a balanced fertilizer. A bloom booster can be used before flowering.
Repotting 🪴
Repot every couple of years or when root bound. These plants prefer to be slightly snug in their pots.

Plants arrived quickly but personal circumstances did not allow me to pick them up from the post office for 7 days after they arrived. I was scared they would be in bad shape after 10 days in complete darkness. I was elated to find the plants well packaged with sturdy wrapping and healthy as can be. Testament to the quality and care of the seller. Highly recommend this shop if you want beautiful, strong plants.

UM....OK!! I truly was not expecting the quality and beauty of the plant(queen of the night cactus) I received 🤩😍😘 chef's kiss for sure!! a small hiccup with the largest leaf but it can be Propagated(it snapped in transit)🥺!!

she shipped super fast. was really dry when I got her and had quite a bit of shipping damage. including a few dead leaves upon opening. She will recover with some TLC and it was a gift to my partner who was thrilled none the less.

Sarah Cotta Plants is a breath of fresh air in this era of marketing. From the initial step of her informative website to my doorstep delivery, you felt that you were their main concern. Their Customer Service was beyond amazing. We had a problem with the USPS, in that my plant started its journey in CA got to KY and then inadvertently started its journey back to CA. It was at this time I contacted Sarah’ Customer Service. I received an immediate response to my problem and within a day an answer. They then followed the plant’s journey back and kept me informed and reassured that my plant would arrive unharmed, and if not it would be replaced. During these transactions I felt like I had developed a friendship with someone behind those typed words that really cared. I did receive my plant in amazing condition,packed perfectly.
