Pot Size8 inch

This beautiful Ficus religiosa has been carefully grown in an elegant bonsai inspired form and will arrive fully potted in its natural clay pot exactly as shown in the photos. To help keep costs low, we chose a classic low profile terra cotta planter that complements the tree’s timeless character without distracting from its natural beauty. If you’d like, it can easily be repotted into a larger or more decorative statement planter, but it looks just as impressive in its current form. The tree can comfortably thrive in this pot for many years before repotting is needed. To maintain the compact, low profile appearance, regular pruning is recommended.

34 inches tall. Planted in an 8x4 inch terra cotta pot.

Ficus religiosa, commonly known as the Sacred Fig or Bodhi Tree, is one of the most historically and spiritually significant trees in the world. Native to the Indian subcontinent and parts of Southeast Asia, this remarkable species is famously known as the tree under which Buddha is said to have attained enlightenment. With its elegant heart shaped leaves featuring dramatic elongated tips that flutter beautifully in the breeze, this fast growing fig offers both ornamental beauty and rich cultural heritage.

🌞 Light
Ficus religiosa thrives in bright light and performs best with several hours of direct sunlight daily. Outdoors, full sun to partial shade is ideal. Indoors, place near a bright south or west facing window for strongest growth.

💧 Watering
Water when the top 1 to 2 inches of soil begin to dry out. This plant appreciates consistent moisture but dislikes soggy roots. Reduce watering slightly during cooler months.

🕳️ Soil
Use a well draining, nutrient rich potting mix. A blend designed for indoor trees or houseplants with added perlite or bark works well to prevent compaction.

🧪 Fertilizing
Feed monthly during spring and summer with a balanced liquid fertilizer to encourage vigorous growth. Reduce feeding in fall and winter.

🪴 Repotting
Repot every 1 to 2 years or when root bound. Choose a slightly larger container with excellent drainage. Pruning can help maintain a manageable size indoors.
