Monstera deliciosa 'Bulbosaur'
We're so excited to have these! Monstera ‘Bulbasaur’ brings a camouflage inspired twist to the classic Monstera, with mottled patches of mint, cream, and lighter green layered over deep green foliage. Its irregular markings create a mosaic effect, with each new leaf revealing a different combination of colors and patterns. Young plants begin with simpler leaves, gradually developing the dramatic splits and fenestrations that make mature Monsteras so striking. As a climbing tropical, it benefits from a moss pole or sturdy support that encourages larger, more mature foliage. Variegation naturally varies from leaf to leaf, giving every plant its own character.
☀️ Light
Provide bright, indirect light. Gentle morning sunlight is usually fine, but protect the lighter portions of the leaves from intense afternoon sun.
💧 Water
Allow the top few inches of soil to dry before watering thoroughly. Let excess water drain away, and avoid leaving the pot standing in water.
🌱 Soil
Use a chunky, well-draining aroid mix containing potting soil, orchid bark, and perlite or pumice. Choose a pot with drainage holes to keep the roots well aerated.
🌡️ Temperature
Prefers temperatures between 65°F and 85°F. Keep above 60°F when possible and protect from cold drafts and frost.
💨 Humidity
Adapts to average household humidity but appreciates moderately higher humidity. Maintain good airflow around the foliage.
🪴 Fertilizer
Feed monthly during active growth with a balanced liquid houseplant fertilizer diluted to half strength. Reduce feeding when growth slows.
