An extraordinary caudiciform species from Mexico prized for its massive cracked woody caudex topped with fine grassy foliage. Over time it develops a rugged sculptural appearance that resembles a living stone mound with a fountain of leaves emerging from the top. Its bizarre form and extreme drought tolerance make it highly desirable among collectors of rare succulents, caudiciforms, and desert plants.
Light 🌞
Provide full sun to very bright light for compact growth and strong caudex development.
Watering 💧
Water deeply, then allow the soil to dry thoroughly before watering again. Reduce watering during cooler months.
Soil 🕳️
Use a very fast draining gritty cactus mix with pumice, lava rock, coarse sand, or perlite.
Fertilizing 🧪
Feed lightly during active growth with a diluted cactus fertilizer once monthly.
Repotting 🪴
Repot only when necessary, since mature plants prefer stability. Keep the caudex partially exposed for best appearance.

Better than expected. It was very securely packaged but did still take a bit of a beating during shipping. I was worried I would lose it shortly after, but it has come back strong and healthy.

This plant took a little while to get here. When it arrived, a lot of its leaves were off. Customer service was outstanding. This plant is a fast growing plant, so I expect it will come right back. If not, it will be replaced. The packaging was outstanding. The plants were very protected during the shipping process. I would buy from Sarah again.
