Microgramma lycopodioides is a charming tropical epiphytic fern known for its creeping rhizomes and delicate green fronds that slowly crawl across bark, moss, or terrarium backgrounds. Native from Mexico through tropical America, this fern brings a wild rainforest feel to terrariums, vivariums, mounts, and humid plant displays. Its common name, Clubmoss Snake Fern, comes from its trailing growth habit that gives it a beautifully natural, jungle like appearance.

The last photo shows our Scorpion Tank featuring this beautiful fern naturally creeping along the substrate. We think it is the perfect complementary plant for insects, amphibians, reptiles, and other invertebrates, especially in humid bioactive environments where its lush trailing growth helps create a more naturalistic enclosure.

You will receive a well rooted plant with multiple rhizomes in each pot. Ready to be split and incorporated into your terrarium.

Light 🌞
Bright indirect light is best. Avoid harsh direct sun, especially in enclosed terrariums.

Watering 💧
Keep evenly moist but not soggy. Higher humidity helps it establish and grow well.

Soil 🕳️
Use airy fern mix, sphagnum moss, orchid bark, or mount it on cork or wood.

Fertilizing 🧪
Feed lightly during active growth with a diluted balanced fertilizer.

Repotting 🪴
Repot only when needed. This fern prefers to creep and establish slowly.

Toxicity 🐾
Non Toxic
