Monstera deliciosa 'Yellow Marilyn' Aurea
We're so excited to have these! Monstera ‘Marilyn Aurea’ pairs the bold foliage of Monstera deliciosa with beautiful yellow and green variegation. Its leaves display an unpredictable combination of golden patches, chartreuse marbling, and deep green sections, giving each leaf its own personality. New foliage may emerge with softer lime tones before developing stronger yellow coloration as it matures. Young plants begin with simpler leaves, gradually producing the dramatic splits and fenestrations that make mature Monsteras so impressive. Provide a sturdy climbing support to encourage larger foliage and a striking upright display. The amount and placement of variegation naturally vary between leaves and plants.
☀️ Light
Provide plenty of bright, indirect light. Gentle morning sunlight can be beneficial, but protect the yellow portions of the leaves from intense afternoon sun.
💧 Water
Allow the top few inches of soil to dry before watering thoroughly. Let excess water drain completely, and avoid keeping the roots constantly wet.
🌱 Soil
Use a chunky, airy aroid mix containing potting soil, orchid bark, and perlite or pumice. A pot with drainage holes is essential.
🌡️ Temperature
Prefers temperatures between 65°F and 85°F. Protect from frost, cold drafts, and prolonged temperatures below 60°F.
💨 Humidity
Moderate humidity around 50% to 70% is ideal, although it can adapt to average household conditions. Maintain good airflow around the leaves.
🪴 Fertilizer
Feed monthly during active growth with a balanced liquid houseplant fertilizer diluted to half strength. Reduce or pause feeding when growth slows.
