Monstera Borsigiana Albo Variegata is one of the most iconic and coveted variegated houseplants in the world. Native to tropical regions of Central America through its green ancestors, this spectacular cultivar is prized for its dramatic white marbling, sectoral variegation, and beautifully fenestrated leaves. Every leaf emerges with a unique pattern, ranging from delicate splashes of white to stunning half moon variegation. As the plant matures and climbs, the foliage becomes increasingly large and impressive, creating a lush tropical display that serves as the centerpiece of any rare plant collection.

🌞 Light

Provide bright indirect light to maintain strong growth and vibrant variegation. Avoid harsh afternoon sun, which can scorch the white portions of the leaves. More variegated specimens generally require brighter conditions.

💧 Watering

Allow the top 2 to 3 inches of soil to dry before watering thoroughly. Never allow the plant to sit in standing water. Reduce watering frequency during cooler months.

🕳️ Soil

Use a chunky, well-draining aroid mix consisting of orchid bark, perlite, coco coir, and quality potting media. Excellent drainage and airflow are essential for healthy roots.

🧪 Fertilizing

Feed monthly during the growing season with a balanced liquid fertilizer at half strength. Avoid excessive fertilization, which can stress variegated plants.

🪴 Repotting

Repot every 1 to 2 years, or when roots begin filling the container. A moss pole or climbing support will encourage larger leaves and more mature growth.
