Hoya carnosa compacta ’Hindu Rope'
A beloved trailing houseplant famous for its thick twisted vines and curled waxy leaves. This unusual growth pattern gives the plant a sculptural appearance that becomes even more dramatic as the vines lengthen over time. Mature plants can also produce clusters of fragrant star shaped flowers, adding even more charm to this collector favorite.
🌞 Light
Prefers bright indirect light. Some gentle morning sun can encourage stronger growth and flowering.
💧 Watering
Allow much of the soil to dry between waterings. Hoyas prefer to stay slightly on the dry side rather than constantly moist.
🕳️ Soil
Use a very well draining chunky mix with orchid bark, perlite, and potting soil for excellent airflow.
🧪 Fertilizing
Feed monthly during spring and summer using a diluted balanced fertilizer.
🪴 Repotting
Repot infrequently, as Hoyas often bloom better when slightly root bound. Use containers with drainage holes.
🐾 Toxicity
Non Toxic.
