Monstera deliciosa ‘Mint’
Monstera ‘Mint’ is a rare climbing aroid admired for its soft mint green, cream, and deep green marbling. Each leaf develops a unique pattern, making every plant distinctive. As it matures, the foliage can produce the dramatic splits and interior openings known as fenestrations, especially when given bright light and climbing support. This cultivated variegated form comes from Monstera deliciosa, a tropical species native to Mexico and Guatemala.
Light 🌞
Provide bright indirect light to support healthy growth and maintain the mint variegation. Avoid intense direct sunlight, which can scorch the lighter portions of the leaves.
Watering 💧
Water when the top two inches of soil feel dry. Allow excess water to drain completely and never leave the plant sitting in water.
Soil 🕳️
Use a chunky, well draining aroid mix containing potting soil, orchid bark, perlite, and coco coir.
Humidity 💨
Moderate to high humidity encourages healthy foliage and helps prevent dry brown edges.
Fertilizing 🧪
Feed monthly during spring and summer with a balanced fertilizer diluted according to the label.
Repotting 🪴
Repot when the roots fill the container. Provide a moss pole, plank, or trellis to encourage climbing and larger mature leaves.
